Task: Complete And Close Emergency Change
The main purpose of this task is to complete and close the Emergency Change and complete the documentation with respect to the change. In case of Emergency Changes the documentation is carried out later in the lifecycle, considering the business needs to restore the service as soon as possible.

Main Description
For an Emergency Change, it may not be possible to update Change Record at the time of emergency change execution. It is, however, essential that temporary records are made during such periods, and that all records are completed retrospectively, at the earliest possible opportunity. If the change is implemented to ratify an incident, the relationship must be linked in the IT Service Management tool.

Change review should be performed to confirm that the change met its objectives, the stakeholders are satisfied with the results and there have been no unexpected impacts. If change is failed, reasons should be examined. Lessons learned should be documented as reference for similar changes in future. Once review and documentation is complete, change is marked as complete and Change Requester and stakeholders are notified.
